Announcement: Peter East Associates to Offer Dangerous Goods Training Courses in Cambridge!

For the very first time, Peter East Associates will be offering open courses in Cambridge, providing training opportunities to new and existing customers working in the biotechnology sector in and around the city.

Over several years, we have seen growing numbers from the biotechnology industry around Cambridge attend our training courses across the country and online. In order to better support those customers, we are launching new training courses for 2024 within the famous city.

Initially for a week in April we’ll have one of our expert trainers, with considerable experience working with pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, delivering a Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Air course, followed by a Carriage of Infectious & Diagnostic Substances by Air, Road & Sea training course.

From Monday 15th until Wednesday 17th April, we will be offering our comprehensive Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Air Course. This course is designed to equip participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to ensure the safe and compliant transportation of any dangerous goods (apart from class 7 – radioactive) by air.

Following this, on Thursday 18th and Friday 19th April, we are pleased to present our Carriage of Infectious and Biological Substances by Air, Road & Sea training course. This course is often taken by staff working in laboratories or in organisations shipping samples to other medical sites and research laboratories. It covers how to pack, prepare and ship category A and B infectious substances, along with relevant stabilisers and dry ice.

Both courses are fully approved by the UK Civil Aviation Authority and on successfully passing the air exam, delegates will be issued with a certificate lasting two years. Included in the price is a loan copy of the dangerous goods regulations (IATA, ADR & IMDG) for use during the course, along with lunch and tea/ coffee throughout the training.

Whether you're a seasoned professional looking to refresh your knowledge or a newcomer seeking to gain a qualification in the transport of dangerous goods, we can help. For more information about each training course you can have a read of their descriptions at the links below, where you can also book a place.
