Part Two: The Exam

The UK Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser (DGSA) exam is a critical component of the certification process. Here’s what you need to know about the exam:

1. Open Book Format

The exam is conducted in an open book format, allowing candidates to refer to the ADR regulations manual to find answers. It evaluates your ability to navigate the regulations and apply them correctly.

2. Recommended Regulations Purchase

Candidates are advised to purchase their own copy of the ADR regulations manual. Throughout the course, participants will make notes within this manual, which they can then bring into the exam. Having a personal copy enhances familiarity and ease of use.

3. Exam Booking

Candidates are responsible for booking the exam themselves. The application form is submitted to the examining body, the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA). Once completed, the form should be sent to [email protected], and payment is made by contacting the SQA.

4. Exam Components
